Designer Duo Sneh Gupta and Samta Goenka Unveils Bridal Collection
Luxurious and colorful; Designer Duo Sneh Gupta and Samta Goenka introduces its new collection for the 2014 bridal season.Thecollectionmarks the infusion of colors, embellishments and fabric.
Each ensemble defines sophistication and glamour with classic designs and embroideries receiving a modern twist. Asymmetric cuts and experimental draping is also given an upbeat representation.
Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, sequins, tassels and hand-made beads along with fine embroidery in gold and silver threads complete each look. The perfect blend of traditional and modern designs – essentially glamorous yet very wearable can be seen through the use of embellishments and fabrics.
Fabrics are chosen keeping in mind the weather conditions, from silks and nets to georgettes and organza; the styling is traditional with a touch of contemporary. You can find lehengas, saris, anarkalis, angrakhas, and concept saris. The detailing is inspired by traditional Indian crafts and includes appliqué embroidery, quilting, colour blocking, layering and paneling, jalliwork , pearl work, bead work, zardozi, zari embroidery, patch work, thread work, multi-coloured stones, mirror work, fine crystal work, and so on.
The label also features Nehru jackets, Sherwanis, BandhJodhpuri coats and kurta pajama sets for men.

Sneh Gupta and Samta Goenka the designers who conceptualised the label Snehsamta (an unification of their names) a year ago come from well-known business families of Delhi. Prior to starting the the Label Sneh and Samta would always be discussing clothes. Friends and family sought their advise on dress styles, colours, embellishments and value added techniques for all occasions. Their advice was always appreciated. It was this appreciation and their own pleasure in bringing different fabrics, colours, designs and intricate embellishments together that inspired them to start this label. Creating a beautiful ensemble and watching people wear and enjoy it brings them a sense of achievement and an abiding joy. It is what motivates them towards perfection.
The labelepitomises modern luxury, structured silhouette and sharp tailoring while integrating the richness of specially woven Indian fabrics and hand crafted detailing. The LalitArpan festival has become a widely acclaimed landmark in the cultural calendar of the capital for the past 13 years. With its fame spreading beyond immediate boundaries, to be featured in this festival has become an attraction for several torch bearers of the classical performing arts genre.
One unique feature about this festival has been that its main presenter, Guru Shovana Narayan, has consciously chosen not to participate in her own Festival with her personal performance. This sets her apart from all her colleagues in the field of performing arts.
This year, along with the torchbearers, the LalitArpan festival will also be featuring maestros.
